We took the open water PADI diving course with West Bay, and this was a fantastic addition to our vacation. It was well organized. The staff were all friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable, and prepared us for our first dives and certification. CHIARA was a fantastic instructor. She was patient, incredibly knowledgeable on both the water and diving process, an excellent communicator, and very passionate about what she does. She absolutely made the experience what it was. Our captain was helpful, also very knowledgeable, And everyone in the shop from the manager to other dive masters were incredibly welcoming and always ready to lend a hand.I wouldn’t miss out on diving in Roatan, and whether you are an experienced diver or looking for your first certification, West Bay can provide everything you need. Highly recommend.

We spent the week diving with West Bay Divers.nThe service was outstanding!! All the staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable on the dives. They really made everything very easy you, carting all of the gear to the boat for you and setting it all up. Would 100% recommend them and we will be back!

Had an amazing experience with West Bay Divers. I only had two days to dive but the dives were spectacular, especially my last one at the Texas site at The Point - a beautiful world underwater. Andre was a great instructor, professional, patient, peaceful and full of enthusiasm. I felt safe and so happy throughout the dive. It was also a great opportunity to meet new friends. Highly recommend!

West Bay Divers is our Dive Shop in Roatan. Mike and his crew are the only truly boutique dive shops we’ve ever found. I’ve been on over 400 dives and there is no team like theirs. My husband and bonus kiddo have also both been OW, AOW, and Nitrox certified by Ava and Joel. Roatan is second to none when it comes to reef diving and we look forward to being back on the island asap.

My best friend and I got our AOW certification with WB Divers in November 2025 and it was an wonderful experience! We have taken many PADI classes and gone diving with many dive shops and this was by far the best experience. First, our instructor Joel was fantastic - he put safety first and made us feel very comfortable, and ALSO was a ton of fun to be with. And he was the clearest instructors I've ever had. Even though I have no interest in diving in Roatan again (too many other places to try) I would travel there, or wherever Joel is teaching, if I decided to get an additional certification. That's how good he is. The crew and staff and shop were also quite impressive - very well organized and very friendly and kind.
