Captain Melvin and Instructor Kenia took amazing care of my wife and I for 12 dives over the last 10 days. We stayed in Czech Village near Tortuga Dive Center and I'm so glad we chose to dive with them. I cannot recommend them enough.nWe both began this trip with very little diving experience (less than 10 dives each) which they took to heart to make sure we had a positive experience - they operate with a huge focus on safety, respect for the ocean and the reef, and making sure we were both comfortable and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.nKenia is a great Instructor and guide, pointing out so many fish and other creatures like lobsters and eel, all while showing us around the beautiful reef walls and swim throughs that are on the southern side of the island. During one of our dives this week we were even lucky enough to spot a hammerhead!nNext level service. If you're looking for a more intimate dive shop where you aren't just a number on the boat, this is it.

After previously diving the West end of the island a year back, my friend and I (Advanced OW) decided to check out this part of the island to get a more authentic experience and see what the South had to offer. We were not disappointed thanks to Poncho (Instructor), Kenia (DM), and Melvin (Captain). This was a small, yet intimate operation that we very much appreciated and enjoyed. The dives were well-planned, safety was a priority, and were extremely flexible with our schedule. Poncho and Kenia make an amazing team, and Melvin was a superb captain who also had about 15,000 dives under his belt. Everyone had great knowledge of the area and the history of the island. Plenty of sick swim thrus, luscious life included rays, seahorses, and a hammerhead shark (seen the day before our dives). The shop is very much in the cut but easy to find, and after you can enjoy a nice cervezita at Tricos bar. Much love to you Tortuga! I strongly recommend them.

My wife and I just returned from a month in Roatan and we dove with Melvin...the company's resident Dive Instructor. Melvin is the most chill dive instructor I have dived with in years. His knowledge and ability to spot all sorts of macro life in his backyard was amazing as well. I really don't want this shop to get too busy lol as I want it all to myself...but it is a treat if you are into small group chill dives.
