Sandy Bay Divers is located at the Blue Bahia resort. The team is outstanding—they made all our diving and snorkeling experiences truly memorable. Safety is their top priority; you will never see 8–10 divers assigned to a single divemaster. In fact, I had two dives with just myself and Chad. Everyone is highly knowledgeable about the local reef system and aquatic life.nnA key benefit for us was their flexibility. My wife is not Open Water certified, so she usually has to stay behind while I dive. At Sandy Bay Divers, they always found dive sites with shallow areas where she could snorkel while I explored the deeper sections. This made our experience much more enjoyable. I've been diving for over 20 years, and Sandy Bay Divers has set a new gold standard for what a dive operation should be. This isn't just a dive shop—it's a family that welcomes you in from the moment you make contact.nnJordan, the manager, was incredibly responsive before my trip, answering all my questions immediately, as well as every day during the trip. Upon arrival, I met Chad (an instructor) and Anna (dive master), both of whom were genuinely warm and welcoming. Chad even became my unofficial food concierge, recommending restaurants and specific dishes that were all phenomenal.nnThe Service: This is concierge-level diving. They provide lockers with bathroom and changing facilities (game-changer for not hauling gear daily), and handle literally everything—setup, rinsing, drying, the works. You just show up, put on your gear, dive, and they take care of the rest.nnGoing Above and Beyond: I visited during rainy season, and when the north side got too rough, they didn't cancel—they relocated their entire operation to the south side and drove us there for calmer diving. On my last day, when other divers cancelled and it was just me, they still took me out for a full day of diving on the south side. I couldn't believe it.nnThe People: Every single person—Jordan, Anna, Chad, the boat captains, the owners, freelance dive masters—was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. At this stage in my diving career, I value people and relationships above everything else, and I absolutely hit the jackpot here. Safety is clearly their top priority, but so is ensuring every customer has an unforgettable experience.nnSandy Bay Divers feels more like family than a business, and they treat you like part of that family. When I return to Roatan, there's no question—I'll only be diving with Sandy Bay Divers.

I spent a week at Sandy Bay Divers and Blue Bahia. I completed my AOW and EAD courses. I dove 11 times including a night dive. The staff are professional, courteous and super friendly. I look forward to more dives and training at Sandy Bay Divers and Blue Bahia in Roatan.

I got my Advanced Open Water Certification with Sandy Bay Divers, with Chad as my instructor. I had such a great experience that I came back for a second trip to do more dives. The team is professional, fun, and makes every dive safe and memorable. Great people, amazing dive sites — I highly recommend them and will definitely be back!

You should 100% choose Sandy Bay Divers for either your certification or a discovery dive. The crew is absolutely amazing and the dive shop is top notch. The programs are the highest quality and they go above and beyond to make the experience all it could be. Jordan who manages communication and booking is fantastic, Chad my instructor was high caliber and exactly who you want to learn from, Jon took my partner on a low stress and amazing discovery dive, and Jeff the owner was just Jeff, awesome. I even recommend staying at Blue Bahia for diving as it seems like a beautiful place on the island, though I stayed elsewhere. So thrilled with my experience here and hope others choose them as well, you’ll be so happy you did!
