Reef Gliders Dive Center

A friend and I spent two weeks diving with the crew at Reef Gliders and we were super impressed. They kept track of all our dive sites, and we never visited the same one twice. We managed to get in 29 dives (lost a few due to weather, but that's what happens when you go during the rainy season), and managed to accumulate 28 hours and 50 minutes of dive time, averaging essentially 60 minute dives!nnOur dive guides, Christian, Gigi, Jasser, and Louden were fantastic (cheers all)!! They were attentive without being over bearing, and pointed out all kinds of sea life. How the heck they saw some of those little nudies I will never understand. They pretty quickly figured out our air consumption rates and dialed in the dive profiles and times to make sure we had solid 60 minute dives. What I really appreciated though was the attention to skill level. For many of our dives, it was my friend and I (experienced divers), and two peeps who had just gotten their open water. Rather than lumping us together, we got essentially private guides, one for the new divers, and one for the experienced divers, allowing us to go a little deeper, spend a little longer, and explore at our level.nnThey handled our gear with care, switching tanks between dives, putting baby juice in our masks, and rinsing everything each evening so it was dry and ready to go each morning. And looking at their rental gear, it was in great condition! I wouldn’t hesitate to use it if I didn’t want to bring my own gear along.nnBlue Marlin - the attached restaurant/bar was great, and the staff there was awesome too. I wish I remembered all their names, but they were so good, even in their scary halloween costumes. The chicken strips were on point (get the buffalo sauce!!), as were the quesadillas. A baleada in the morning was a great way to start your day.nnIrma runs a great operation - My friend and I will definitely be going back, and bringing more friends this time!!

I was looking around the world for the best fit for me to take my PADI Divemaster training. I decided on ReefGliders and I'm so glad I did.nnIrma and Susie made sure that I was ready to start. Setting me up with an Apartment and even picking me up at the airport and stopping by the grocery store otw to town.nnThe whole staff at ReefGliders are a hardworking/well oiled team. The Divemasters and Instructors that taught me are highly skilled professionals. Thank you Christian, Jassir, Gigi and Loudin!nnI cannot say enough good things about ReefGliders. I will be back in Roatan and diving with them this Xmas.

Reef Gliders Dive Center offers a variety of dive options, including night dives and specialty courses, ensuring that there is something for everyone.nnOur favorite sites were Mary’s Place (South Safari), Mora (Moray) Channel, Key Hole (North Safari), El Aguila Wreck, and Blue Channel, among others.nnYou should definitely consider the North and South Safaris. These special trips allow you to explore the island of Roatan while enjoying a surface interval on the boat, visiting breathtaking dive sites. The boat is stocked with snacks and beverages, and lunch is included as well.nnOverall, Reef GliderslW Dive Center is more than just a dive shop; it’s a gateway to the enchanting underwater world of Roatán. Whether you're an experienced diver or just getting started, their team will make your diving adventure truly exceptional. I spent a month diving with Reef Gliders and it was an incredible experience. They have top-notch dive masters and a great vibe. The staff is super accommodating. They even adjusted their schedules to help me achieve some personal dive goals. Spooky channel and the night dive are my personal highlights. The coral restauration course was also a great addition! Highly recommend!

I can't say enough positive things about Reef Gliders. The amazing staff, who I was able to reach easily via email prior to our trip helped us curate a positive experience for my son who was looking to obtain his junior open water. They offered flexibility in our scheduling and start time and were sympathetic to the anxieties that can accompany the open water class. Each instructor acted with an immense amount of professionalism and experience. As a dive professional myself, I was impressed with the quality and maintenance of the gear (integrated weights) . All staff were knowledgeable and helped navigate any gear issues that arose. The boats were in great condition and the captains were safe and helpful. The facilities themselves were immaculate and the best on the island by far. The accompanying Blue Marlin restaurant was incredibly convenient and made diving with Reef Gliders comfortable and a home away from the hotel. In summary- Fresh water showers, well maintained boats and equipment, knowledgeable staff, great restaurant on site, excellent student teacher ratio, perfect location & amazing value.
