I have just completed my Advanced Open Water Diver's Certificate with Douglas. The whole team are very professional, friendly, helpful and a joy to dive with. Douglas was an amazing teacher. He spent a lot of time going over everything we were going to do on each dive, making sure I was comfortable, confident and aware of what to expect. I was given time to get things right, and to have more than one attempt at some of the challenges, especially on the Peak Buoyancy Option and the Navigation Modules. There are so many dive sites and Douglas made sure each one was perfect for the each specific dive. The Dive Shop is well equipped, the staff really know their stuff and because it's slightly away from the main strip in Half Moon Bay, it's peaceful and quiet. I would definitely recommend this dive centre as a great place to go for snorkeling, fun dives and any courses you want to do. A big thanks to everyone that looked after me.

I have been diving with Moana Divers in Roatan for 3 years. I thoroughly enjoy their fun loving spirit, sense of adventure and always feel safe with their crew and captains.nDuring my latest visit this autumn, I made a last-minute decision to join them on a Red Sea expedition that they were organizing. A few days shore diving in Dahab, Egypt followed by a week of liveaboard diving in the northern Red Sea all before a two-night visit in Cairo. I was reluctant at first, not knowing many of the other divers and not self assured in my diving skills.nI am just departing Africa now and I am so happy I made the trip. The diving was fantastic and the camaraderie that they organically grew within the group of divers put me at ease and made me feel right at home. The best part is I am a much more confident diver and made several new friends and dive buddies.nYou did a fantastic job Serena, Cristobal and Mauricio. Moana is awesome. The dives are always fun, safe and generally longer than other dive shops. The dive masters, captains and other staff are fun and professional. The Red Sea expedition was the best dive trip of my life. 6 days on a liveaboard followed by 3 days in Cairo. Diving, pyramids, the citadel. Just great.

Absolutely amazing team!! Cris and Douglas were so hospitable and made us two freshly certified divers very comfortable on our dives. We asked to see eagles rays and turtles and they knew exactly where to take us. We practically landed on top of an Eagle Ray when we first entered the water lol and we saw so many turtles I lost count! Douglas gave great diving tips for us as we were still kind of new and we appreciated it. They also took amazing GoPro footage to help document the memories. Their equipment is in perfect condition. You must dive with them!!!

I would give this dive shop 10000/5 stars if I could.nnI did a lot of research of the dive shops in Roatán and saw that this one stood out in terms of the reviews. I wanted a dive shop with a personal touch and small groups that didn’t sacrifice on quality and safety. I was not disappointed and can understand why locals say this is the best dive shop in Roatán! If you’re looking for an alternative to an all-inclusive dive resort, you need to check out this shop!!nnI dived 4 days with Moana Divers including getting my PADI Advanced Open Water certification. As a relatively new diver (~5 dives) I was nervous about diving in a new location. However, the entire crew made my learning journey a fun, safe, and comfortable experience. If you’re a beginner, you are in such good hands at this dive shop. If you’re experienced, they’ll focus on helping you make the most out of your dives in a different way as well (like improving your underwater photography).nnDouglas was our instructor and he was awesome. We were a small group of 3. He gave good briefings, taught the theory parts well, made sure we got lots of practice in the water and in different dives. He was focused on making sure we learned the skills “properly” so that we could become better divers and spent a lot of time e.g. in the peak performance buoyancy dive to find the optimal weight for us.nnFor the dives themselves - so beautiful and nothing like I’ve seen ever before. The visibility was very good on every dive and the dive sites were all unique with lots of wildlife (we saw turtles, eels, stingrays, crabs, lots of beautiful fish species, and more). The wreck dive was also super cool! All the dive sites were also just ~5-10 minutes away by boat so it was nice we could dive straight away. The equipment was in top quality and all prepared for the fun dives. They also gave us pineapples in-between dives :)nnMau (one of the owners) is a wonderful soul and will take care to make sure you have a great time diving from the moment you reach out to them via email or WhatsApp. Ask him about his photography!nnThank you Mau, Douglas, Serena, Landitos, and Santos for an unforgettable week!
