An awesome excursion from a great cruise ship. We sailed with Royal Caribbean and found this excursion via the app. Bought the tickets the day before, had tickets in hand by nightfall and landed in Roatan the next morning ready for the adventure. Once off the ship and on the pier, the staff were ready to shuttle us across the 3 minute pontoon boat voyage to the island. The snorkeling was amazing, animal rescue informative, and staff delightful (mostly). The tour guide took time out of the historical facts to share his political views which seemed out of place...but the great thing about walking tours is being able to walk back to the beach whenever you want! Having the airport close by was a bit of a mixed treat...seeing the cool twin turbo prop planes was cool, but the first one that came by super low just over the trees surprised us. After that, we expected the planes and it wasn't a problem at all, we just enjoyed the views.

Went to Maya Keys through Royal Carribean excursion. 6 minute boat ride from cruise ship. Perfect beach for young family. Kids had fun building sand castle, plenty of beach chairs. Super clean restrooms! Short walk to the end of the pier for snorkeling. We saw lots of fish, 2 Staffs were attentive and ready to help. Being a first timer I had trouble putting snorkel masks on my young kids while we were in the water. The staffs got them on in less than a minute! Got to see the part at where coral reef opened up to open ocean, it was beautiful. Snorkel set available for rent at 20dollars per person, lockers available at 3dollars. Buffet lunch was yummy. Kids were excited to see iguanas from random stairs to under the table at buffet area :)
