Before arriving to Roatan, I hadn’t done much research of dive shops. This was a last minute trip as I was already on a work trip to Tegucigalpa. I booked the hotel first and that’s how i discovered this dive shop. One of the best I’ve experienced! It was low season with no planned dives, but the staff went out of their way and arranged for a friend and I to go out with them on a training day. From checking with Rose to diving with her, John, Matilda, Luis and the rest of the gang, everything was top notch. Our second dive was amazing, with great visibility, saw lots of turtles and other sea life. Great rental equipment, good boat and super knowledgeable and friendly staff. I hope to return in the near future!

We have been diving in Roatan for 8 years, the entire time at IDC. We have seen many changes and will tell you that this was one of our best experiences, from the new improvements to the shop and the new team at the facility. The shop manager Miguel was always there with a smile and hand shake! The receptionist Rose is probably the best we've had. Always a hug in the morning, asking if there was anything she could help with, and always following everyone out to the boat just to make sure nothing was missed. The boat captain Angel ALWAYS happy, upbeat and hilarious keeping everyone in a chill mood with his wit and island music. And then our Dive Master Beto who is one of the most experienced divers in Roatan and Utila. You ask and he will probably be able to find you anything!!

Absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish! Booking with Island Diving Center was incredibly smooth and easy—communication was prompt and professional. Melody answered any questions I had and made sure we had everything we needed.nnFrom the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm smiles and friendly vibes. The staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and at home. The facilities are clean, well-organized, and clearly maintained with care—everything you need for a great day of diving is right there. All guests are provided with secure lockers to keep items such as your fins and mask in, while they store your BCD and regulator in a locked area. Our gear was set up and ready for us each morning!nnThe best part of Island Diving Center? The dive guides (Dani and Beto) and boat captains (Angel and Junior). These folks are top-notch—knowledgeable, patient, safety-conscious, and clearly passionate about what they do. We had the pleasure of diving with Dani (as well as Jose, Fran, and Rose as they had just finished their DM training - huge congrats to them!) and I can't speak highly enough of them all! They ensured we were ready to go each dive and had everything we needed. They knew all the best sites and pointed out marine life we didn't spot on our own. Every dive was well-planned and executed with skill and professionalism. It is evident that they care about their divers and want them to have the best experience possible.nnCan’t recommend Island Diving Center enough. Whether you're new to diving or a seasoned pro, this is the team you want to dive with in Roatán. We’ll be back and will absolutely choose to dive with this crew again!

SO. MUCH. FUN.nMy bestfriend and I planned a dive trip to Roatán and all of our dives were scheduled through Island Dive Center which was located at our hotel!The staff was extremely helpful and informative during booking and upon arrival, we checked in and were able to store our dive gear in a locker they had set up for us! We loved the convenience of being able to walk a few steps from our room and right onto the boat for our days of diving! Dani was an incredible dive guide who, you could tell, really loves her job and is passionate and excited about connecting with her divers! She catered our experience to what we were interested in and made sure we had fun! The entire staff and boat crew were great from start to finish - from the team in the shop: Melody & Miguel, to the guys on the boat: Beto, Junior, & Angel - they were super personable and helpful, and made our time on boat fun!nnThe reefs were absolutely breathtaking and we were fortunate to see a variety of wildlife! Surface intervals included fresh fruit and snacks on the boat ride back to the dock where we were able to rest by the pool or grab lunch before our next dives.nnEverything was seamless and we will definitely boom with Island Dive Center again on our next trip to Roatán! Did I mention Dani was the best guide ever?! :)

I had an absolutely outstanding experience with Island Diving Center! From the moment I arrived, I was impressed with the professionalism and attention to detail. The staff is highly qualified and truly passionate about what they do. Beto, in particular, was exceptional—kind, thoughtful, and incredibly attentive to my needs and safety throughout the trip.nnI spent four days diving with them, including a fantastic night dive, and each dive was well-planned and thoroughly enjoyable. The team ensures everything runs smoothly, from equipment setup to dive briefings, and they make sure you feel comfortable every step of the way. The dive sites were beautiful and well-suited to divers of all levels.nnOverall, it was an unforgettable experience, and I highly recommend Island Diving Center for anyone looking to dive in a safe, supportive, and enjoyable environment!
