Good island tastes Restaurant

After a day of ATV fun, running from Pollitily Bight (along a dirt and gravel road that runs between the ocean and homes of locals) to Punta Gorda and back, as well as snorkeling off of Milton Bight, I was treated to a platter of absolutely delicious food prepared by chef/owner, Miss Happy. The offering included crispy fish empanadas (yum!), conch fritters (which, unlike others that taste mostly of bread, tasted of fresh & tender conch), perfectly light & crispy chicken fingers, meat balls served in a rich and slightly sweet tomato-based sauce, and quintessential coconut rice & beans, accompanied by mixed veg and fried plantains. All SO good. This is authentic island food at its best.nnThe restaurant serves excursion groups, but (as I understand it) also offers food from a roadside stand out in front of the restaurant. Miss Happy, a delightful woman who instantly feels like a good friend or family, also does catering and personal chef work. Don't hesitate to reach out to her to find out how you can best experience her delicious home-style authentic island cooking. I highly recommend, and can't wait for the next opportunity to try more of Miss Happy's offerings!

Do yourself a favor and visit this restaurant while in Roatán. Everything was delicious and genuinely tasted like a home cooked meal. The service is great! And the chef and owner is a beautifully kind soul!

Delicious! We ate here as part of a cruise excursion and it was definitely the highlight of our outing! We were served a sample platter and everything was delicious.

This place was amazing!!! The food was sooo fresh!! The lady that served us was incredibly nice and wanted to make sure we all got enough food!! It was the best food we’ve had on our 7 days cruising from town to town.

Enjoyed a lunch here while on a drive out to the east end. Food was freshly prepared and the service was excellent.
