Fosters West Bay Resort

So I was NOT on a cruise ship, I actually stayed here a week. We picked this place because it wasnt luxury or fancy & because it is a family run resort.. but let me tell you, the view, the ambiance & the character make this resort top-notch! We stayed in cabin #3 & it was even more than we expected. The beautiful wood, the gigantic porch, the hammock & the lapping of the waves right in front of you! Everyone is so nice, the restaurant did have the best calamari that we ate on the island. The food is def. Overpriced, but its not fosters fault, they rent the restaurant out. Yes, there are cruise ship people on certain days that come there, but honestly they are gone by 2 or so, so its super quiet after that. Our king size bed was cozy & they replaced our sheets more than 2 times, housekeeping was on it & very respectful. Our friends stayed in cabin 4 & it was beautiful also, a bit more private & a bit smaller. Overall I reccomend Fosters if you are not a high-end modern person, you will love it. Best vacation in a very long time, thank you Emily, all the staff & Daniel & Harris. If you wanna go on an adventure tour Harris is your guy & Daniel was our go -to water taxi. Once in a lifetime experience staying in the treehouse at Fosters West Bay. Everyone on the property was friendly and helpful. Feet from a pristine beach and the most gorgeous views and sunsets i have ever seen!

Covered by a thatched palapa, the dining area blends seamlessly with the beach, allowing the constant, refreshing sea breeze to keep things comfortable. It's exactly the kind of atmosphere you want for a relaxing meal—no pretension, just pure island vibes.nThe food is as fresh and flavorful as you would expect. We started with an appetizer which were perfectly crispy and served with a tangy dipping sauce. For my main course, I had the a whole snapper, and it was outstanding. The fish was cooked to perfection and bursting with simple, fresh flavors. My companion loved their chicken, which had just the right amount of spice.nA beach bar isn't complete without great drinks, and Foster's delivers. Their signature piña colada was a standout—refreshing, potent, and the perfect way to cool down. The happy hour is a great value.nDownturn is that menu isn't inexpensive, nothing under $25 on the menu just so you know.nWhat truly elevates this spot, however, is the service. Our server was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The staff were quick with a smile and a fresh round of drinks, making the entire experience feel warm and welcoming.nFoster's is a genuine gem and a must-visit for anyone seeking a true taste of Caribbean paradise. It's the perfect place to enjoy fantastic food and drinks while watching the sun set over the turquoise water. And speaking of water....the beach is amazing!!!! The very best beach in Roatan. We definitely enjoyed swimming there.nWe didn't stay at the hotel, so we payed for the use of the beach chairs.nAnd since we didn't stay at the hotel, I can't really give any type of insight on the rooms.nWe'll be back on our next trip to swim on this beach.
