Welcome to Paradise! Bayside is situated in a perfect location. It is across the street from Half Moon Bay and the beach. The rooms are basic but very clean. The AC works VERY well. Hot water. WIFI. A TV with a fair few english channels. It's safe and secure. The police kiosk is a stones throw away and there are police/security at the front - BUT I always felt safe in Roatan.nAt the Bayside you can start your day on the roof patio watching the sun rise over the Caribbean while drinking smooth Honduran coffee. You can then walk a few meters and grab a very affordable and fresh breakfast at Yohungreh or one of the numerous other restaurants.nThen grab your gear and swim out to the reef or get one of the captains to take you on an amazing adventure to the giant starfish, Cuban shipwreck, Mayan ruins, mangroves or one of the many other amazing places.nOrnGrab a taxi and head to an animal park, zip line, rum factory or west bay!nnUpon returning grab yourself a cold Barena and head back to the roof to watch the sunset. Bring your phone/camera!nAt around 7:00 the main street comes alive with music, barbecue and drinks!nGo explore!nDon't forget to grab a water taxi and head to west bay Sunday night for crab races and fire dancers.nnATM is a short walk at the medical center. I recommend this one.nnWe will be returning!

Tim and his staff were more than helpful. First class hospitality. Great place in a Great location. Nice little roof too kitchenette to enjoy a meal or morning coffee over looking the ocean. Will definitely be returning.

We were treated so well here, by the front staff Rony and Dilo, who were always around to ask questions, or give advice. Tim the owner is a lovely guy too. Charming and affordable. Well located, right at the roundabout.nThe rooftop has some open space and chairs for sunning, having a morning coffee, and a view of the sea. Spitting distance to Coconut Tree and Sun Divers.nGood wifi signal in all of the rooms, though the speed varies a bit at time (presumably based on usage)nTV's have IPTV boxes and a few english channels, with fridges in the room too.nFor older people:n-Be aware if you have mobility issues, as you need to climb stairs.n-Little noisy, especially on weekends, but if you want super quiet and isolated in order to sleep well, you should really be heading up the road a little further away from town.

My wife and I stayed at the Bay Side Hotel for 4 days during the “low season” at the end of November. Thank you Alicia, Dilo, and Rony for a great stay. The hotel arranged our taxi to/from the ferry so it was easy to get there. The hotel was quiet, very comfortable, and very clean. The room prices are very reasonable and a good value. We had an oceanview room with a balcony to sit outside, and it was very nice. As everyone has mentioned, the hotel is next to the roundabout at the center of half moon bay, so walking to where we wanted to go was no problem. We will definitely be going back next year!

Great experience here! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Stayed in the dorm room and it was probably the nicest dorm room I’ve ever come across. Very clean, beds were comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. Great price as well considering it’s along the main strip in West End and right across from the beach.
